Are you a college junior who participated in the Step Up Youth Employment Program or graduated from a Minneapolis public high school with an AchieveMpls Career & College Center? Are you looking for a professional summer internship where you can earn a competitive wage while building career skills and connections? If so, you've come to the right place!
The new Achieve College Internships program provides direct access to professional career experiences, mentors and networks that can help you launch your career. In partnership with the Minnesota Private College Fund and top regional businesses and nonprofits, we provide training, one-on-one coaching and connections to high-caliber, career-oriented internships.
With Achieve College Internships, you'll develop critical job and leadership skills, learn more about your chosen career field and begin to build your long-term professional networks.

Who can participate?
Eligible students must fit all of these criteria:
- Past participant of the Step Up Youth Employment Program or graduate of Minneapolis public high schools with AchieveMpls Career & College Centers
- College junior enrolled full time in a four-year degree program and on track to graduate in 2022
- Cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Will be living in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area next summer (2021)

Get to work!
Succeed in your 10-12 week internship (June - August) through consistent support from your Achieve Career Coach, with regular check-ins for trouble-shooting and professional mentoring. You'll learn $15 per hour or more.
Launch your next steps
At summer’s end, discuss your areas of strength and growth with your internship supervisor. Consider tips for next steps and make plans to continue part-time at your organization or network and seek out full-time opportunities.
