Step Up is preparing tomorrow's workforce today
Step Up brings together Minneapolis young people (ages 14-21) with Twin Cities employers through internships and training that build careers and lead to a diverse, skilled and equitable workforce. Since 2003, Step Up has created over 29,000 high-quality internship opportunities.
Step Up was among the few programs in the country last summer that offered career opportunities for young people during COVID-19. Now in 2021, Step Up will be offering work readiness training, paid in-person and online internship opportunities, and a paid online career exploration program.
We equip young people to create bright futures through professional skills training, on-the-job experience and connections with adult mentors who can help them achieve their career goals and become our next generation of business and community leaders.
We help employers in 15 industries diversify their workforce and build a strong base of young, skilled workers who can keep our future regional economy and our communities strong and vibrant.
Step Up is a partnership of the City of Minneapolis, AchieveMpls, CareerForce Minneapolis and Project for Pride in Living.
