College Internships Program Associate
Launching in summer 2020, the new Achieve College Internships Program will provide career-oriented internships for college students in regional businesses, with opportunities to develop career and leadership skills and build professional networks. This is a new full-time, exempt staff position that will focus on leading employer engagement, building out the program and ensuring its success through collaboration with program partners and community leaders.
Step Up Youth Services Assistant
This team member provides vital support to young people as they begin their participation in the Step Up Youth Employment Program, complete their work readiness training, are matched with summer internships, and navigate employer hiring and on-boarding processes. This team member serves as a primary point of contact for youth who have questions, need to adjust their schedules or update their internship records. This is a full-time, temporary (4 month) position. A work schedule of 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. will be necessary most days.
Career & College Center Coordinator at Southwest High (part-time)
This half-time colleague (20 hours per week) at Southwest High School collaborates with our full-time Career & College Center Coordinator to provide individualized assistance to students in exploring and planning for careers, postsecondary education and training, and financial aid. They also partner with other AchieveMpls team members, school and community-based staff to develop, align and coordinate a system of career and college readiness support throughout the school.
Career Readiness Coordinator at FAIR School Downtown (temporary, part-time)
The Career Readiness Coordinator at the FAIR School Downtown is a temporary (February 1 – June 30) part-time (20 hours per week) position. Working with our Career & College Center team, they will provide individualized assistance to students in exploring and planning for careers, postsecondary education and training and financial aid. They will also collaborate with other AchieveMpls team members, school and community-based staff to coordinate and deliver high-quality career exposure and exploration activities across the school.
This team member is responsible for a broad range of bookkeeping functions, including cash receipts, payables, payroll and journal entries. They also manage and report on all MPS department and school funds, and oversee data integrity and integration for the Raiser’s Edge database. This position reports to the director of finance and operations.
