AchieveMpls Mini-Grants

AchieveMpls manages several grants for Minneapolis Public Schools staff and classrooms that are funded by community donations, AchieveMpls discretionary funds and MPS staff through the We Give campaign. 

Applying for a mini-grant 

For the 2018-19 school year, these grants will support professional development for MPS staff. Unfortunately no funds are available for field trip transportation or classrooms this year. Contact Angel Jennings at 612-455-1560 for more information and applications.

Links to Learning Grants

Assistance League of Minneapolis/St. Paul Links to Learning grants award up to $750 for classroom projects every fall. In the 2017-18 school year, 39 recipients received over $25,000 for fields trips, class projects and more! To apply, download and send your completed Links to Learning Grant application to by Monday, October 8, 2018.

Minneapolis Educator Leaderships Awards (MELA)

Each spring, the John & Denise Graves Foundation presents the Minneapolis Educator Leadership Awards (MELA) to support MPS teachers, principals, paraprofessionals and support staff in designing creative learning opportunities for students. The MELA nomination and selection process is entirely teacher-driven. Learn more on the MELA website or by downloading this fact sheet. Nominations are open Feb. 1 through March 1, 2019. Nominate someone today!
