AchieveMpls manages several grants for MPS staff and classrooms that are funded by community donations, AchieveMpls discretionary funds and MPS staff through the We Give campaign. 

Applying for a mini-grant 

Applications are no longer being accepted for 2017-18 school year grants. Check back this summer for more information on 2018-19 grant opportunities. Grants support field trip transportation, professional development for MPS staff and classroom projects.

Links to Learning Grants

Assistance League of Minneapolis/St. Paul Links to Learning grants award up to $750 for classroom projects every fall. In the 2016-17 school year, 29 recipients received over $19,000 for fields trips, class projects and more!

Minneapolis Educator Leaderships Awards (MELA)

Each spring, the John & Denise Graves Foundation presents the Minneapolis Educator Leadership Awards (MELA) to support MPS teachers, principals, paraprofessionals and support staff in designing creative learning opportunities for students. The MELA nomination and selection process is entirely teacher-driven.
