Sarah's (she/her/hers) commitment to public education began during her time as an AmeriCorps volunteer, where she was placed at Edison High School to serve as a tutor and mentor. For the last several years, Sarah worked with transition aged (18-21) students in several metro districts, where her primary focus was employment services. She is excited to be back serving students in Minneapolis Public Schools!
Sarah holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of Minnesota and an M.A. in counseling psychology from the University of St. Thomas.
A native of the Twin Cities, she currently lives in the Wenonah neighborhood of Minneapolis with her daughter and her two big pups, Dexter and Moxxie. She enjoys most outdoor adventures and is especially fond of paddle boarding on a secret lake in St. Paul. You can find Sarah in the football stands cheering for the Gophers (Rah!) or Vikings (Skol!) and on warm days is likely hosting a backyard BBQ.
