Before coming to Achieve Twin Cities, Mariah (she/her/hers) served as a youth worker at the University YMCA and also worked at Lucy Laney Community School and Pratt Community School as an after school literacy mentor for elementary students.

Mariah has a passion for moving beyond the classroom and engaging with young people through service-learning placements, worksite visits and internships. She is inspired by working alongside students and helping them navigate the world on their own.

Mariah graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a bachelor’s degree in youth studies, a transdisciplinary degree which focuses on social justice and emphasizes civic engagement for young people who are marginalized in their communities. In her free time, she enjoys wake-surfing and walking around the lakes.
