Mai graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Elementary Education and is passionate about youth development. Mai worked with Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) as a Lead Youth Coordinator teaching after-school classes and has experience working with youth of all ages, backgrounds and ethnicities. Her volunteer experiences throughout the Twin Cities gave her valuable experiences working with youth in a variety of classroom settings. She truly believes that “Every youth can learn, they just need to be given the right tools and time.” As the Career Exposure Associate, she hopes to build meaningful connections between students and potential careers in our community and create programs that will help all MPS high school students develop a career plan for after graduation.
In her free time, Mai enjoys playing sports, reading a good book and spending quality time with friends and loved ones.
