Leah provides strategic leadership for AchieveMpls school-based programs, including our Career & College Centers, the Career Readiness Initiative and Graduation Coaches.
Before joining our team, Leah held a number of roles in the Chicago Public School District. She began her career as a school counselor in a large urban high school in Chicago, where she managed a caseload of students and oversaw post-secondary advising, academic advising, freshmen on-track strategies and behavioral health supports.
She has also supported a number of public high schools around building a positive student and adult climate through the use of restorative student disciplinary practices, the creation of strong professional learning communities and the incorporation of data into decision-making processes.
Leah earned her BA in education studies and American culture studies from Washington University in St. Louis and received her MA with an emphasis on community schooling from the University of Chicago's School of Social Service Administration. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, reading and spending time with friends and family.
