India (she/her/hers) has been serving Twin Cities youth for nearly 10 years. She has a BA in Child Psychology and Spanish Studies from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities (Ski-U-Mah) where she was also a student athlete for the Women’s Rugby program. She began her professional journey serving two years as an AmeriCorps Member with College Possible. In this capacity she planned service events for high school participants, planned and led college planning workshops for 9th and 10th grade students, and supported low-income and often, first-generation college students at the University of Minnesota campus.
After serving College Possible, she began her tenure at Beacons Boys and Girls Club, first serving as a Program Coordinator and was then promoted to Program Director in 2017. In this capacity she served Patrick Henry scholars through Boys and Girls Club programming, which included Academic Success, Character and Leadership, and Healthy Lifestyles. She is excited to continue serving Patrick Henry scholars in her role as the CCC Coordinator at Patrick Henry High School!
In her free time, she enjoys coaching athletes, training for marathons, supporting local Twin Cities breweries, and cheering on her favorite sports teams!
