Ikram is passionate about youth development – a passion she discovered while working with 4th and 5th graders in a Faribault School District STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) summer program. She came to AchieveMpls from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), where she worked as a job coach for interns in the Step Up Youth Employment program. Ikram also supported Step Up interns during her participation in the City of Minneapolis Urban Scholars, a leadership and professional development program for young leaders. Now as a member of the Step Up team at AchieveMpls, she’s excited to support students as they explore career opportunities with local employers and gain on-the-job experience and skills.
Ikram graduated from Hamline University with degrees in business administration with a concentration in management, and religion with a concentration in Asian religions. When she’s not working, she can be found binging TV shows and documentaries, reading poetry or hanging out with friends and family.
