Career & College Centers plan for the uncertainties of fall student support

Kendra Engels and Caitlyn Cole on a video call

With remote learning continuing this fall due to COVID-19, our Career & College (CCC) team is closely tracking plans for virtual student engagement and collaborating with our career and college readiness partners to design and implement another strong year of student support.

CCC leaders Kendra Engels and Caitlyn Cole are working with Minneapolis and Saint Paul school districts on the best strategies for remote services and monitoring changes in college recruitment. They’re also reaching out to local trade unions to develop more robust support programs for students who want to pursue skilled trade careers.

“Kendra and I are working very closely with our CCC coordinators this month to make sure they have what they need for the new school year,” says Caitlyn. “They’re learning how to support students remotely in brand new ways this fall, so it’s more important than ever that they have the time, tools and support to collaborate, troubleshoot common challenges and share resources with their CCC colleagues.”
