Andrew is a program manager with our Minneapolis Public Schools career and college readiness team, where he works alongside our incredibly talented career and college readiness coordinators at Camden, Edison, FAIR, Heritage, Washburn, and Wellstone International high schools.

Andrew came to Achieve in 2012, first as an AmeriCorps VISTA member with the community engagement team, and then spending two years as a program associate with Step Up. In 2016, Andrew helped launch Achieve’s new career readiness initiative and began six years of service at Edison High School, where he worked directly with students as a career readiness coordinator.

Andrew comes to this work with a deep belief that when young people feel a sense of belonging, they are best positioned to thrive and succeed. With over 15 years of youth development work as a career advisor, soccer coach, mentor and camp counselor, he works to create welcoming, collaborative and youth-focused spaces that allow for vulnerability, honesty, growth and fun.

Andrew holds a B.A. from Luther College in political science and is currently a graduate student at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs. He loves spending time with his wonderful family and friends – especially his wife and two young vibrant and energetic daughters – as well as reading a good book, biking, singing and wandering in the mountains.
