Alaina is passionate about supporting all students in finding their “right fit” when it comes to postsecondary plans. She is a licensed school counselor who incorporates her love for education with her love of helping others to make sure that students have all the tools, resources, and options they need to make decisions about their future.
Alaina started her postsecondary education at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She transferred to the University of Minnesota, Duluth at the start of her junior year and graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in cognitive science. She earned her master's degree in counseling at Louisiana State University, Shreveport. She then completed coursework at St. Cloud State University to become licensed as a school counselor.
In her free time, Alaina loves tending to her many plants, cooking, spending time with her friends and family, playing with her cat and doing yoga.
