Achieve 101 at Washburn High School

CEO Danielle Grant

Twenty community members came out to our Washburn High School Career & College Center (CCC) today to learn how they can help students get ready for careers and post-secondary education.

Over coffee and pastries, three Washburn students described their dreams for life after graduation and how our team is helping them create a plan to get there. Our staff members shared the wide variety of resources, activities and personal support they offer students as they're exploring their career and college options.

Guests also learned how they can support students directly by becoming Graduation Coaches, career exploration volunteers, STEP-UP Achieve employers or financial contributors.

Our thanks to Washburn High Principal Rhonda Dean and our board of directors co-hosts Velma Korbel, Director of the City of Minneapolis Department of Civil Rights, and Mat Watson, Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at Best Buy. Stay tuned for details on our next Achieve 101 at North Community High School in January!
