Strong community partnerships lead to increased student achievement, enhanced social capital and a greater likelihood of graduation and career success. We believe that all young people can achieve their greatest potential in school, work and life when they have strong schools, caring adults and a generous community to support them.
Our tremendous thanks to 22 dedicated Twin Cities businesses, foundations, public agencies and nonprofits who demonstrated outstanding commitment to AchieveMpls and our students during the 2019-20 fiscal year (July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2020), which was particularly challenging due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
These 2020 Community Partners made generous financial gifts for our career and college readiness programs, provided employee volunteers for our high school career exploration events, hosted company worksite tours, created paid summer internships for high school and college students, and offered invaluable strategic support. They include:
- Best Buy
- Boston Scientific
- C.H. Robinson
- CLA Foundation
- The Family Development Center
- General Mills
- Greenburg Traurig
- Hennepin County
- Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board
- Piper Sandler
- Rêve Academy
- U.S. Bank
- Walser Foundation
- Wells Fargo
- Xcel Energy
"Thanks to these generous organizations for saying ‘yes’ to our students," says Danielle Grant, AchieveMpls President and CEO. "Their strong partnership helps ensure that our young people have the tools and connections they need to begin a path toward purposeful, life-enriching careers and become our next generation of dynamic and skilled community leaders."
