Supporting Student Success

We have raised over $24 million for our students.

What We Do

AchieveMpls is the nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Minneapolis students. The support we offer takes many shapes, including program management, program support, and additional resources offered to the students, teachers and administrators of the Minneapolis Public Schools.

Programs We Manage AchieveMpls designs and implements programs that meet the most pressing needs of the district while reflecting the vision of donors. We work hard to align district priorities with the goals of stakeholders in public education, meeting each new challenge with an entrepreneurial spirit and results-oriented focus. More »

Programs We Support AchieveMpls believes that only through ongoing collaboration will the community overcome the myriad challenges of educating and urban population and meeting the needs of Minneapolis Public School students. We provide technological, financial and human resource support to numerous partner programs working to support Minneapolis students. More »

Resources AchieveMpls serves as an intermediary for individuals, businesses and foundations in our community that wish to support the Minneapolis Public Schools. We work to design a scholarship or grant program that best matches the donor’s interests and resources to meet the needs of students, teachers and administrators. Community Learning Fund Gives Peace

AchieveMpls’ Community Learning Fund makes field trips possible for hundreds of MPS students every year. Through mini-grants to pay for transportation, we allow classes of all ages and subject matter to
pursue enrichment opportunities outside of school walls. For the past three years, Nancy Paxson of Marcy Open School has received Community Learning Fund dollars to bring her “Peace Choir” to perform at the annual Nobel Peace Prize Festival. Along with other “Peace Site” schools around the Twin Cities, Marcy works to integrate peace studies into core curriculum. “Marcy students are excited to participate in the
festival each year and really identify themselves as Peacemakers,” Nancy says. “They believe what some of our songs say: ‘We each make a difference! We can change the world! We are the future!
Peace is up to you and me!’”
