One of STEP-UP Achieve's strongest partners is Hennepin County's Office of Multi-cultural Services, where Thomas Monjeau, Supervisor and Senior Planning Analyst, has been hiring STEP-UP interns since 2005.  Last summer he supervised three interns.

Tom hires STEP-UP interns who are bilingual and provides rich first-hand experience working alongside the county’s outreach liaisons. They serve as interpreters, answer phones, help with administrative tasks and assist at community fairs and events.

Tom’s dedication and commitment to STEP-UP Achieve has come full circle. Three of his former STEP-UP interns are now employed by his office, including two permanent full-time staff. “We’re thrilled to have them on board with us once again!” says Tom.
