As a new STEP-UP Achieve intern at Hennepin County, Maruf never imagined that he would one day have a permanent job there. Five years later, he has a permanent position in the department he interned for in STEP-UP Achieve.

Evan participated in the second class of STEP-UP Achieve in 2005. After his summer with STEP-UP Achieve, he graduated from Carleton College and currently works for Google in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He credits the program with helping get him to where he is today.
