During his summer internship, Nakrumah woke up early each day to take the bus from Minneapolis to the Boston Scientific campus in Arden Hills. Nakrumah took great pride in his work of digitizing documents for the regulatory department, knowing that these documents could help determine if and how a product might be produced or  marketed.

Nakrumah’s work at Boston Scientific provided helpful insights into possible careers in business, marketing or work at a similar company.  His supervisor Rich Dujmovic praised him as a very effective intern “who worked with great diligence and accuracy” and learned his projects quickly.

Nakrumah also had the opportunity to sit in on teleconferences with his colleagues, where he says he witnessed history in the making. “I was connected to scientists, the FDA and other co-workers in conversations about approving medical products,” says Nakrumah. “I know that my work was a small but crucial step in that process.”
