Many in our community have been watching the unfolding tragedy of famine in Somalia and neighboring countries. I am working with Board of Education Director Hussein Samatar to promote MPS participation in relief efforts through the month of December for MPS staff, students, schools, departments, families and community partners to focus on famine relief efforts through service learning projects, volunteer service and contributions.
