MPS 100 Strong Who Care Event at Jenny Lind School

Wed February 22, 2012 | 10am - noon

Jenny Lind Community School
5025 Bryant Avenue North, Minneapolis

The Minneapolis Public Schools Office of Equity & Diversity is hosting three 100 Strong Who Care events in February at Jenny Lind Community School, Nellie Stone Johnson Community School and Ramsey Performing Arts.

Community members are invited to enjoy three mornings with MPS students and members of diverse business communities who want to positively impact their lives. Volunteers will visit with students and discuss higher education, career options, goal setting and achievement.  MPS welcomes the participation of volunteers to serve as inspirational models for our students.

100 Strong Who Care provides opportunities for MPS students to connect with volunteers of similar backgrounds through service learning and community-based enrichment. Volunteers from ALL organizational, professional and cultural backgrounds are invited to participate, celebrate the achievement and commitment of business and industry professionals from our community, and inspire the next generation of leaders. For more information, contact Brittney L. Forrest-Wilson at Brittney.Wilson@mpls.k12.mn.us or 612.668.0018.
