Community Partnerships
It takes an entire community to support an excellent school system. AchieveMpls Community Partners -- businesses and other organizations that have made a long-term or in-depth commitment to MPS and its students -- are at the forefront of our efforts to ensure that all MPS students are career and college ready.
Community Partners care about MPS students. They hire STEP-UP Achieve summer jobs interns, speak to students about their career path or profession, or coach a parent to graduation. They create school-business partnerships, teach financial literacy skills or join collaboratives of their peers to fund innovative approaches in education.
Community Partners care about being informed. They attend public events on education-related topics. They receive up-to-the-minute information on MPS news and data. And they are strong, informed advocates who speak up on behalf of Minneapolis Public Schools and students.
Community Partners care about results. That’s why our staff help all Community Partners set measurable goals for their projects and report progress regularly.
Become an AchieveMpls Community Partner
Becoming a Community Partner begins with a listening conversation to help us learn more about your organization. Because each organization is different, we design a special package for you based on your organization’s needs and interests.
For more information, contact Rebecca Noecker, Manager of Business and Nonprofit Partnerships, at rnoecker@achievempls.org to schedule a conversation.
