3CSL Student Leaders
3CSL—which stands for Career & College Center Student Leaders—is the AchieveMpls CCC student leadership group. These young people serve as ambassadors in their schools and communities, providing career and college information for their student peers and offering important feedback to CCC Coordinators about strengthening student outreach. They also receive adult support to develop their voices, talents and skills to become confident young leaders.
3SCLs demonstrate strong personal commitment to reaching their goals for life after high school. They believe that all students can succeed, and they work hard to make a difference in their schools. 3CSL leaders also
- Assist their CCC Coordinator with events and other activities in the CCCs
- Connect with other students in their schools and communities
- Represent their schools at city-wide 3CSL meetings
- Participate in public Round Table Discussions on issues that affect young people
3CSL is a great way to strengthen leadership skills, meet new friends, serve their schools, and impact the future of the AchieveMpls Career & College Centers. To learn how to become a 3CSL leader, contact CCC Director Arnise Roberson at aroberson@achievempls.org or 612.455.1530.
Gotta Focus -- It's Your Future!
Check out this great 10-minute film by 3CSL student leaders that follows four MPS students as they explore their options for life after graduation. Created through generous support from State Farm, the film features original music by students from the High School for Recording Arts in St. Paul. To get a copy of the film for your school or community group, send a note to info@achievempls.org or call 612.455.1566.
